Homeschool Planner

A homeschool planner helps keep your homeschool organized and running smoothly. You can either buy a premade homeschool planner or you can prepare one for yourself with a binder and printables. I like to have a binder that has the plastic front that you can decorate yourself. I used scrapbooking paper and stickers to decorate my homeschool journal. Homeschool planner forms for a binder can be gotten free on the internet or they can be bought inexpensively and used year after year. This page will help you find a homeschool planner for your homeschool.

Does having a homeschool planner help with your homeschooling?
See results without votingMy favorite style of homeschool planner is a binder that I have decorated and then printed out or copied the forms that I need. Some things that I like to keep in my homeschool planner are a list of a list of activities, list of unit studies, contact information for other homeschoolers, library information along with a schedule of there activities, other activity ideas that I hear about and more. The binder makes it easy for me to update my homeschool planner as I need to. Some other things to consider storing in your homeschool planners is conference information, book lists, book wish lists, grades, attendance records, transcripts, website passwords, things you have borrowed, things you have loaned, field trip ideas, field trip logs, educational video logs, books your children have read and documentaries they have watched. Just make sure if you take your homeschool planner out of the house, that you don't have private information in case it gets lost.

I have tried so many schedules. Not yet stuck to one. But my children are still all under 7. (No excuse i know LOL). The times i have stuck to plans have always been so much more productive though. Ok. I have convicted myself again. Back to the planners i go. My children will thank me for so doing. I appreciate finding your reminder. :)
Really specific, helpful ideas. Thanks!

I tend to make my own forms with Excel and use a weekly agenda book for my own appointments. It works for me. I do think every homeschool mom needs some method of organization and planning.
